Password Manager
Give every person in your business one secure, encrypted place to store and share passwords, so logins take seconds, credentials never travel over email or WhatsApp, and a single exposed password cannot unlock everything you own.
What you're actually up against
Phishing & Social Engineering
Employees can be tricked into revealing passwords or sensitive information.
Ransomware
Attackers can encrypt business data and demand payment to restore access.
Weak Passwords
Compromised or reused passwords can provide attackers with access to business systems.
Unpatched Systems
Outdated software can contain vulnerabilities that attackers exploit.
Data Breaches
Sensitive customer, employee and business information can be exposed or stolen.
What happens without Password Manager
Most small businesses are one stolen password away from a serious breach, and the way passwords actually get managed day to day is exactly why. A staff member saves their login in a spreadsheet on the shared drive. The social media password lives in a WhatsApp thread. The accounting software credentials are written on a sticky note by the desk. None of that is carelessness. It is what happens when there is no better system in place, so people improvise with what they have.
The problem is that attackers know this pattern well. Credential theft sits at the top of the list for how breaches actually start, and password reuse makes it significantly worse. One leaked password from any website where your staff hold an account can open doors across your entire operation if that same password is used elsewhere. A password manager does not just tidy up a bad habit. It closes a real, documented gap that a phishing email or a data leak from an unrelated site could otherwise walk straight through.
What you'll get once Password Manager is in place
- A private encrypted vault for every team member, so passwords are stored properly rather than scattered across browsers, spreadsheets, and shared files
- One-click browser and app autofill that makes signing in faster than typing, which removes the temptation to pick a password that is easy to remember and equally easy to guess
- A built-in password generator that creates strong, unique credentials automatically, so nobody needs to think one up or reach for an old favourite
- Controlled sharing between colleagues, with no one ever needing to paste a password into a message, email, or chat thread again
- Automatic alerts when a stored credential appears in a known data breach, so your team can act before anyone else does
- Admin oversight showing who holds access to what, and the ability to revoke credentials the moment someone leaves or changes role
- Works across desktop, laptop, mobile, and all major browsers, fitting the way your team actually works without adding friction to their day

Password Manager questions
A reputable business password manager encrypts every credential before it ever leaves your device, using the same encryption standard that protects banking and government data. Even if an attacker were to reach the server, they would find nothing readable without your master password, which is never stored anywhere. Keeping passwords in a dedicated vault is significantly safer than a spreadsheet or a browser, where the protection is far weaker and there is no admin oversight at all.
Yes, and that is one of the main reasons businesses use a password manager rather than a shared spreadsheet. You can give a colleague access to a specific login, such as a shared social media account or a team tool, without them ever seeing the actual password. They get access through the vault. When they no longer need it, you remove it from the admin panel and it is gone immediately.
Browser password saving is convenient, but it is built for personal use. It gives you no admin visibility over what your team has saved, no way to revoke access cleanly when someone leaves, no managed sharing for shared accounts, and generally weaker encryption than a dedicated vault. For a sole trader working alone it might be acceptable. For any team of two or more, a proper business password manager is a meaningful and practical step up in both security and control.
Most teams are set up within a day. Staff install the browser extension, create their vault, and import any saved passwords from their browser or an existing spreadsheet. From that point the manager fills in credentials automatically and prompts to save new logins as they appear. It is designed to be used by people with no security background, which is largely the point of it.
This is one of the clearest practical benefits for small businesses. When someone leaves, an admin can revoke their vault access and disconnect them from any shared credentials in seconds, from a single dashboard. Passwords they had access to can be rotated straight away. Without a password manager, most small businesses genuinely have no reliable way to know which shared logins a departing employee had access to, or whether they still do.
